.The Artist:
Born in Beer-Sheba, Israel in 1951
Between the years 1973-1980 he studied at the Avni Institute of Fine Arts in Tel
Aviv.
He currently divides his time between the US and Israel.
Maimon's world is the coffeehouse culture which has long captured artists such
as Bonnard and Lautrec before him.
The lightness of the cafe cultures has a charm and beauty which is fertile
enough for Maimon to devote his career to, with great success;
He holds the title of Professor of Fine Art (at the University of Ben Gurion)
and in 1991 he made his international debut, touring the United States with five
solo exhibitions.
He continues to hold annual one-man-shows in the US and has been exhibited
throughout the country and Japan.
